Staying on top of her profession includes “going and knowing green” for local professional interior designer, Debra May Himes, ASID, IIDA, LEED AP of Debra May Himes Interior Design & Associates. By passing the stringent LEED accreditation certification exam in December, 2008, Ms. Himes joins the ranks of only 34% of trade professionals who score high enough to earn the notable title. NAU graduate and studio art minor, Sara Amalia Brooks, was the winner of the Eric Fischl Vanguard scholarship at Phoenix College Art Exhibit.

Ivan Cherry, BFA at NAU in 1996, went on to get his MFA at The Art
Institute of Chicago. Recently, his work "Incredible," was
used as the cover art for New American Paintings (Juried Exhibition-in-Print
No. 59).
He won the Renee Denmark award in 2001 and the Helen V. Surovek Memorial award in 2004. He is presently Dean of Fine Arts, English, and Humanities at South Suburban College in South Holland, IL.
