The MA in English with an emphasis in creative writing allows you to balance academic coursework in English with the serious study of creative writing.
For this 36-hour emphasis, you must take 12 hours of graduate creative writing; 12 hours of graduate literary studies; and 3 hours of graduate composition, language/linguistics, or rhetoric. You must also complete a creative thesis (3-6 hours). Download degree plan (word file).
