This 37-hour program provides you with the necessary coursework to earn post-degree certification in English Education so that you may obtain a position as a secondary English/Language Arts teacher.
Note that in order to become fully licensed, you must also complete 30 hours of professional courses offered by the College of Education. (Twelve of these hours can be used toward this MA.) For information about these requirements, talk to your English Education advisor.
Please note that 12 of these 30 hours are designated as ECI 495—The Student Teaching Experience—and will not count toward your Master's in English.
