Research and Teaching Interests:
Laura Gray-Rosendale, Professor of English, directs the S.T.A.R. English (Successful Transition and Academic Readiness) for the Multicultural Student Center, a program that addresses the needs of students who are first-generation, racial and ethnic minorities, and/or in economic need. Her areas of research specialization include literacy studies and basic writing, history of rhetoric, gender studies, composition theory, pop culture studies, and autobiography. Gray-Rosendale’s most recent book is Pop Perspectives with McGraw-Hill Publishers (March 2007). Right now she is at work on a nonfiction manuscript.
