Did You Know?...

  • Prof. BeDuhn will be in residence at the Research Triangle in North Carolina in Spring, 2010, working on a book concerning decipherment of an ancient Manichaean text.
  • Prof. Donnelly has started an NAU Summer study abroad program in Northwest India. For more information on the program, click here. He was also named CAL's Teacher of the Year for AY 2009-10 and was made a member of the Provost's NAU Teaching Academy through AY 2011-2.
  • Prof. Gulacsi will be on sabbatical doing research for the academic year 2009-10.
  • Prof. Hassing will be on sabbatical doing research for the academic year 2009-10.
  • Prof. Sullivan is engaged in a multi-year project, the Buddhist Health Study, with fellow researchers who are NAU faculty members in Health Sciences and Psychology. The project has already resulted in the largest survey of Buddhists that has ever been done, and is one of the few studies that has examined possible health benefits of Buddhist practices such as meditation. He will present a paper at the American Academy of Religion conference on representations of Asian religions in recent science fiction.
  • Prof. van der Loo has been engaged in research in Mexico during the Spring, 2009, semester.
