For both the Spanish MAT and the Spanish Education MAT, applicants complete (A) the application Materials and Checklist for admission as a graduate student and (B) the application procedures for GA ships.

Listed below is an application checklist that details the requirements and forms that you must complete. There are two units on campus that need information from you:
- The Graduate College
- The MAT in Spanish Program
1. Graduate College Application Requirements:
It is essential that you visit the Graduate
College's General Information page before completing any of
the Graduate College's paperwork.

2. Spanish Program Requirements:
___ Statement of Purpose
___ 3 Letters of Recommendation
(at least two from academic references)

Graduate Assistantships
Students applying for entrance into the program on a full time basis are automatically considered for a Graduate Assistantship to teach lower division Spanish courses at NAU and practice what it is you are learning in your classes. Please indicate in your correspondences with the graduate coordinator whether you would like to be considered for a GAship.
