The SUS program at NAU cuts across many areas of study, including anthropology, the arts, business, humanities, economics, education, environmental science, history, literature, philosophy, political science, psychology, religion, sociology, women's studies, technology, and the performing and studio arts. Students gain both depth and breadth in understanding issues important to sustaining community life by choosing from among our own courses and those from across the university.
We have tailored the program to accommodate both students who wish to pursue full-time graduate study and those who prefer to attend on a part-time basis because of other professional and personal responsibilities. The program offer courses on a flexible schedule — including summers, evenings, and weekends.
Graduates find a wide range of employers with an interest in sustainable community practices. An MLS degree also strengthens existing careers, complements professional training, and furthers personal development.
