Karin Hallberg was appointed coordinator of Suzuki Strings at the NAU Preparatory School of the Performing Arts in the fall of 1994. She teaches violin and Suzuki Pedagogy, is a member of the Coconino Chamber Ensemble and principal second violinist of the Flagstaff Symphony. Before coming to NAU, Ms. Hallberg taught at the Mac Phail Center for the Arts in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Ms. Hallberg is a sought after Suzuki clinician, having taught at workshops in Puerto Rico, Colorado, Utah, Wisconsin and Minnesota. She has extensive performing experience, including membership in such groups as the Minnesota Opera Company and the Denver Chamber Orchestra. Ms. Hallberg received a bachelor of music and a master of music in performance from the University of Denver and has been the recipient of the "Shar Outstanding Young Teacher Award."
