NAU has
two Jazz Ensembles and several combos. This audition material
will serve for placement in both ensembles and combos.
Jazz auditions occur the week before
classes begin. The sign-up sheet for audition times will be posted
on the door of 139 two weeks before classes begin.
While it is possible to play in a jazz ensemble for one semester, second
semester auditions are only for open chairs within each band. Anyone
earning a B or higher in a jazz ensemble can continue in that ensemble
from fall to spring without re-auditioning.
