The annual NAU Vocal Jazz & Madrigal Festival, one of the largest festivals of its kind in the Southwestern United States, features five guest clinicians and over 100 high school ensembles from Arizona and nearby states. The two-day festival includes a host concert on which choirs from NAU and professional groups of national and international stature appear.
This event will be held on the NAU campus in Flagstaff on Friday, February 8th and Saturday, February 9th, 2008. Ensembles of all ability levels are invited to participate.
COST- $190.00 – for each jazz and/or madrigal ensemble. Initially, we will accept only ONE ensemble in each category per school. Second ensembles will be accepted only after all applicants have been given the opportunity to schedule their first ensemble. Available slots will be assigned to second ensembles after the October 22nd-October 26th registration time period. Entry fee is due by Friday, December 14th. If the entry fee is not received by December 14th, 2006, reserved times will be given to the first school on the waiting list and your school moved to the bottom of the waiting list. Please note that this will be strictly enforced this year due to the high demand for festival slots.
