Flagstaff Summer Institutes

Basic Summer Institute

This institute provides you with intensive training that will enable you to become a leader in the teaching of writing at your school.

Upon successful completion, participants receive six graduate credits in either English or Education courses.

Advanced Summer Institute

The Advanced Summer Institute builds upon the Basic Institute experience and provides time to explore your professional goals, to develop and fine-tune your mentoring and presentation skills, and to more fully explore the teaching of writing.

To attend an Advanced Summer Institute you must have successfully completed a NAWP Summer Institute.

Upon successful completion, participants receive three graduate credits in English 675 or ECI 674.

Graduates of NAWP’s Advanced Summer Institutes are eligible to become teacher-consultants for NAWP and to lead professional development workshops in Arizona and in other areas of the country.
