The Philosophy Department now maintains two listserv lists. One, PHILOSOPHYANNOUNCEMENTS, conveys announcements of interest to any persons interested in the news and activities related to philosophy here at NAU. A second list, PHILOSOPHYMAJORS conveys the general announcements contained in the PHILOSOPHYANNOUNCEMENTS list but also conveys information related more centrally to students majoring in philosophy here at NAU--mandatory graduation workshops, opportunities to submit essays for publication in undergraduate journals, graduate school opportunities, etc. Philosophy majors who subscribe to the MAJORS list need not subscribe to the ANNOUNCEMENT list.
TO SUBSCRIBE TO THE GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS LISTSERV
Follow the instructions below:
Step 1. Address an e-mail message to: listserv@lists.nau.edu
Step 2. Write a single line of text that reads: SUBSCRIBE PHILOSOPHYANNOUNCEMENTS your_first_name your_last_name
***Note that in the line of text above, PHILOSOPHYANNOUNCEMENTS is to be typed AS ONE WORD; you then add a space, type your first name, add a space, then add your last name. The LISTSERV will extract your e-mail address from the "From" line in your e-mail message and add it to the listserv distribution list.
